John L. Holland received his Ph.D. degree in psychology (1952) and Masters degree (1947) from the University of Minnesota. In the ensuing years, he has made monumental research, theoretical and practical contributions that have altered the way in which career assessment and vocational assistance is delivered not only in the United States but also around the world. He revolutionized vocational assessment and vocational psychology. He has authored over 200 published works and has received numerous awards.
