Donald M. Fraser, the former Mayor of Minneapolis, graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in 1944 while in the Navy R.O.T.C and received a law degree in 1948. He is an eminent figure in government service and public policy having made extraordinary contributions as a Minnesota State Senator, Mayor of Minneapolis, member of the U.S. Congress, and a tireless community volunteer, which was acknowledged with a Distinguished Service Award from the Minnesota United Way.
