A. W. Clausen received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and is the retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of America Corporation and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Bank of America. He is a retired honorary director of both boards and is also a former president of The World Bank. He is the recipient of numerous awards from governments throughout the world.
