Leo J. "Jack" Thomas

Leo J. (Jack) Thomas received a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1958 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois. He has been a dedicated professional in the field of chemical engineering and has made numerous contributions to the field since 1961 upon taking his first position as a research chemist in the Color Photography Division of Kodak Research Laboratories. He retired from Kodak in 1996 as President of the Imaging Group and an Executive Vice President of Eastman Kodak Company. Many of Eastman Kodak's successes can be attributed to his implementation of organizational leadership, scientific expertise and lifelong dedication to the Kodak organization. He has received numerous honors and recognition throughout his career including an honorary degree as well as having been elected to the National Academy of Engineering.
