Darrell Rinerson

Darrell Rinerson received a bachelor’s degree in Physics (1969) and a master’s degree (1977) in Electrical Engineering. After graduation, he ultimately became a leader in the technical development of digital memory systems. He is the founder of two companies, Micron Quantum Devices, which developed early high performance flash memory technologies and Unity Semiconductor Corporation, the developer of disruptive high performance non-volatile universal memory technology. His design circuits for computers and digital memory systems resulted in over 36 patents issued or patent applications. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated outstanding technical leadership. He has been innovative and is described as an entrepreneur extraordinaire.
