Franklyn G. Prendergast

Franklyn (Frank) G. Prendergast received a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota in 1977. He is an internationally recognized scholar in biophysical chemistry and authority in optical and magnetic spectroscopy. He is recognized as an international expert in the application of fluorescence spectroscopy to the study of protein dynamics. He has served as a scientific advisor to numerous local, regional, and national private and public boards, foundations, and committees. Additionally, he has served as a mentor to minority scholars around the country through his leadership and scholarship.
