Robert W. McKenna received his M.D. degree from the University of Minnesota in 1966. He has distinguished himself through outstanding local, regional, national and international contributions to the field of hematopathology. His commitment to his profession and his community has benefited countless physicians and patients through his teaching and medical research. Dr. McKenna has been active in numerous national pathology organizations and has served as President of the American Society for Clinical Pathologists, as well as President of the Society for Hematology. He has well over 100 peer-reviewed publications, numerous book chapters and has been an invited lecturer all over this country and abroad. The All-University Honors Committee enthusiastically endorsed the awarding of an Outstanding Achievement Award to Robert W. McKenna from the University of Minnesota.
