Litman and Mallin’s careers have been closely intertwined for 20 years and therefore their achievements are so similar that the summary recognizes them both for their creation of the Minnesota Cup (MN Cup), their three highly successful companies, and their support for the Minnesota Military Appreciation Fund.

Litman and Mallin are the co-founders and managing partners of Magnet 360, LLC, a company considered to be the leader in developing new ways to use technology in marketing. The company employs more than 100 people in the Twin Cities area and is among the fastest growing companies in Minnesota. Their two successful companies they founded prior to Magnet 360 are Imaginet and Buy Spot Buy. Litman and Mallin are credited with the development of the Minnesota Cup (MN Cup), a resource that supports emerging entrepreneurs from across the state through events, educational programming, and an annual new venture competition. The MN Cup, managed by the Holmes Center for Entrepreneurship in the Carlson School, is believed to be the first and only statewide new venture competition in the entire country and has supported 9,000 Minnesota entrepreneurs and awarded $1 million in cash prizes. Litman and Mallin continue to lead the program, which is in its 11th year. MN Cup has had a tremendous impact on the Carlson School and the University of Minnesota. Litman and Mallin are also involved in the Minnesota Military Appreciation Fund, founded by Gene Sit and Michael Gorman. Because of their efforts, the fund has raised more than $16 million to help Minnesota’s military families since 2005.
