Kathleen D. Lake

Outstanding Achievement Award Recipient

Kathleen Lake earned her bachelor's degree (1976) and Ph.D. (1981) in Pharmacy from the University of Minnesota. After her training she assumed a position at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. She also received an academic appointment in the College of Pharmacy ultimately reaching the rank of Professor. Most recently, she accepted a position as a senior research scientist in internal medicine at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Dr. Lake's contributions to the transplant literature have contributed to an improved quality of patient care. She is one among a handful of clinical pharmacists nationwide that is a recognized authority in transplant medicine and is a sought out speaker on topics related to transplant pharmacotherapy. In addition, she has received numerous awards and recognition for her leadership and accomplishments. The All-University Honors Committee unanimously endorsed the awarding of an Outstanding Achievement Award to Kathleen D. Lake.
