Frederic J. Kottke

Outstanding Achievement Award Recipient

Dr. Kottke, member of the U of M Medical School graduating class of 1945, has had a long and celebrated career at the University of Minnesota. His editorship of the Krusen Handbook of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation has been a valued contribution to medical literature and to the specialty. Dr. Kottke has served as a member of the Editorial Board of his professional journal, the Board of Governors of his professional society and member and chairman of his professional accreditation board. Recognized nationally and internationally, Dr. Kottke has received many honors, including serving on the President's Committee on Employment of the Physically Handicapped. The All-University Honors Committee enthusiastically endorsed the awarding of an Outstanding Achievement Award to Dr. Frederic Kottke.
