James A. Johnson

James A. Johnson received a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota in 1965. He has established a distinguished record of accomplishment at the highest levels in government and the private sector. He is currently the chairman of the board and chief executive officer at Fannie Mae, chairman of the board at the Brookings Institution, and Kennedy Center Chairman. A Minnesota native, Johnson has been managing director in corporate finance at Lehman Brothers. From 1997 to 1981 he was executive assistant to Vice President Walter Mondale. In addition, he has taught at Princeton University, served as an executive with the Dayton Hudson Corporation, and worked in the U.S. Senate and the White House.
