Michael V. Ciresi

Mr. Ciresi is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School Class of 1971, and Partner and Chairman of the Executive Board of the Twin Cities based law firm of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi, L.L.P. Under his leadership, Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi has grown internationally and become a more diversified law firm. Mr. Ciresi's strength as a litigator has been demonstrated in some of his more visible cases which include State of Minnesota and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota v. Phillip Morris Incorporated et al; Honeywell vs. Minolta; Unocal Corporation vs. Atlantic Richfield Company, et al; Ecolab vs. Ford, et al; the Dalkon G Shield litigation; and Copper-7 litigation. One of his most celebrated cases several years ago was Government of India v. Union Carbide, in which he acted as chief counsel to the Government of India. Mr. Ciresi is a staunch supporter of the Law School, member of the Law Alumni Board of Directors, and Cabinet member of the Law School Capital Campaign.
