Arnold W. Blomquist

Arnold W. Blomquist earned his master's degree (1961) and Ph.D. (1963) from the University of Minnesota in horticulture, genetics and biology. He has led military, professional, religious and education programs that benefit humanity and are a credit to the University. His creation of Tumaini University is an example of the benefits to be obtained by employing local resources to serve common purposes and is a valuable contribution to humankind that will be of inestimable benefit to the peoples of Tanzania and the Sub-Sahara countries of Africa. Blomquist's accomplishments include membership in many professional organizations and governmental commissions, several publications and two patents. He is listed in American Men of Science and Who's Who in the Midwest.
