Pat Duncanson graduated from the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS), University of Minnesota, in 1983 with a degree in agricultural business administration. Currently, he is the CEO, CFO, and partner at Highland Family Farms. Duncanson’s exceptional leadership on the University of Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA) Board of Directors began in 2017 and he served as the 87th board chair in 2023-2024. As Chair, he played a pivotal role in securing the future of UMAA by facilitating the final stages of the UMAA Memorandum of Understanding renewal with the University. Since then, Duncanson has continued his service to UMAA as chair of the Past Chairs Advisory Group and the Nominating and Board Development Committee. He has also served on the search committee for the 18th President of the University of Minnesota, Regent Candidate Advisory Council, CFANS Alumni Society Board, and MN 201 Leadership Council, UMAA’s advocacy network. He also hosts alumni and policymakers at his farm in an effort to bolster relationships between the University and Minnesota legislators.
