Jerry Noyce

Jerry Noyce is a 1967 graduate of the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. He joined the University of Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA) national board of directors in an at-large position in 2000. He served as chair of the Marketing and Communications Committee and was then elected as vice-president in 2001, president-elect in 2002, and, national president in 2003. Currently, he is serving in his final year on the board as past president and chair of the Board Development Committee. Under his leadership, the Alumni Association's membership reached a record high of 60,000. He advised and presided over the UMAA's 100th anniversary events, including the all-campus birthday party held in January and the annual spring celebration, featuring alumnus Yanni. In addition, he was the key leader behind the UMAA's $1 million pledge to support the University's effort to bring Gopher football back to campus and the pledge of $500,000, to be matched by the University, to kick off a new scholarship program. Throughout his service he has been tireless in his efforts to connect alumni and friends to the UMAA and the University.
