Barbara Perso Heinemann

Barbara Perso Heinemann is a three-time degree recipient with a bachelor of arts (1998) from University College, a master of arts in apparel studies (2003), and a Ph.D. in apparel studies (2008) from the College of Design at the University of Minnesota. She is a dedicated volunteer for the Goldstein Museum of Design (GMD), the College of Design, and University students, supporting research, engagement, and learning. Heinemann is also an enterprising researcher, curator, and start-to-finish coordinator of two GMD exhibitions, which have informed and engaged thousands of visitors. In addition, she is a generous advisor to FAB: Fashion and Business and Phi Upsilon Omicron student organizations, a commencement volunteer, and an education chair for Fashion Group International, which connects students and the University with the Fashion industry. Heinemann is an independent dress scholar and consultant.
