Doug Huebsch, a fourth generation Perham, Minnesota family farmer and business owner, received a bachelor of science degree in applied economics in 1985 from the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences at the University of Minnesota. He is described as a passionate alumni volunteer leader and legislative advocate who has informed and connected Minnesota alumni, farmers, businesses, cities, and elected officials to the resources and research of the University. He has served the University of Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA) for more than six years, serving as the chair of the Board of Directors in 2018-19. During this time, he served on the Presidential Search Committee charged to identify the University’s 17th president, Joan Gabel. Huebsch has shown himself to be a tireless advocate and champion of the University of Minnesota.
