Bruce Hatteberg received a bachelor of science degree in agricultural economics (1979) from the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resources Sciences (CFANS) at the University of Minnesota. His career at CHS, Inc., a global agribusiness owned by farmers, ranchers and cooperatives across the U.S., has spanned more than three decades. As director of lending for CHS Capital, a CHS Inc. subsidiary, Hatteberg works with cooperative boards of directors and managers across the U.S. developing strategic business plans and financial packages focused on keeping them strategically and financially viable. He has been an advocate and active volunteer for the CFANS and the University of Minnesota through his leadership as a member and officer of the CFANS Alumni Society, participation in the CFANS Mentor Program, as well as volunteering at numerous events and programs over the years. He served as treasurer, vice president, president, and past president of the CFANS Alumni Society (2012-19), and served as a mentor to seven students through CFANS Mentor Program (2012-18). In addition, he spent five years volunteering to help with the annual Golf Scramble for Scholarships and is a regular volunteer for Celebrate Ag & Food Day, CFANS Homecoming events, Borealis Night of Excellence, and Classes Without Quizzes, to name a few. Hatteberg also serves as a member of the CFANS Dean’s Circle and is the CHS Inc. liaison to the University of Minnesota.
