William A. Bardeen received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics at the University of Minnesota in 1968. He is a senior member of the Theoretical Physics Group at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. Dr. Bardeen's significant accomplishments lie in the area of High Energy Physics. His work has received international and national recognition. He is a recipient of the J.J. Sakurai Prize of the American Physical Society and a member of the National Academy of Sciences.
