Winona LaDuke is an Anishinaabe woman who resides on the White Earth Reservation in western Minnesota. She received her bachelor's degree at Harvard University and her master's degree at Antioch. She is described as an activist who selflessly works on behalf of environmental responsibility and for indigenous people's rights and environmental stewardship at the State, National and International levels. During the last two presidential elections, she served as the Green Party's candidate for Vice President of the United States.
