Dr. Eckert began his career at the University of Minnesota as a professor in Mechanical Engineering and was named Regents' Professor in 1966. Dr. Eckert has been the key leader and developer of the modern analytical and experiment field of heat transfer. Considered the father of the modern engineering field of heat and mass transfer, Dr. Eckert has served as an inspiration to generations of engineers. He is recognized nationally and internationally as an outstanding scientist and teacher.
