Simon Wong received a bachelor's degree in psychology and studio arts from the University of Minnesota in 1974. He is the founder, chairman and managing director of the Kampery Group, a highly successful Hong Kong-based coffee, tea, dairy, and health and organic products company. The Kampery Group imports nearly 40% of the coffee consumed in mainland China. It has offices throughout Hong Kong and China, as well as a presence in Canada.

Sara "Penny" Rand Winton

Thomas C. Winter

Thomas C. Winter earned B.A. (1958) and M.S. (1961) degrees in geology and a Ph.D. (1976) in hydrogeology from the University of Minnesota. He is now a research hydrologist with the U.S. Geological Survey, Denver, Colorado. His exceptional scientific and applied contributions have made him a world expert on wetland hydrology and wetland protection, management and restoration. He redefined the science of wetland and lake hydrology and its interconnection with the groundwater and geomorphic systems.

David M. Winfield

David M. Winfield attended the University of Minnesota, where he played basketball and baseball. The only athlete to be drafted in three professional sports, Dave Winfield's illustrious career spanned 23 years with six teams. He is a 12-time All-Star and is one of only seven players to record 3,000 hits and 400 home runs. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame on the first ballot in January 2001. Linda Wells

Linda Wells, pioneering role model, inspiring mentor to women and girls, and legendary coach, received a masters degree in education and exercise physiology from the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota. Malcolm P. Weiss

Malcolm P. Weiss received his BA ('47), MSc. ('50) and Ph.D. ('53) all in geology from the Department of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Minnesota. He has made numerous fundamental contributions to a broad range of fields of endeavor in the Earth sciences. His specific area of specialization in geology is stratigraphy and paleontology, which deal with the correlation and interpretation of the fossil remains of sedimentary deposits laid down by physical and chemical forces throughout geologic time.

Steven E. Weekes

Currently he is President and CEO of Weekes Forest Products Company, a company that he began 24 years ago and is one of the nation's largest independently-owned softwood lumber distributors.
