Wendy Simenson

Wendy Simenson received a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy in 1977 from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota. She is the owner and pharmacist at Kemper Drug in Elk River, Minnesota. As a business owner, practicing pharmacist, and community leader, Simenson has been a champion for patient care, with a mission to increase health outcomes through patient education and awareness. She has a distinguished career of service to the pharmacy profession in Minnesota and nationally. At the University of Minnesota, her efforts have focused on creating broad based support for the University, the College of Pharmacy, and students and alumni. She has been an extraordinary role model for current and prospective pharmacy students. She has responded many times to the call to service. In 1997, the then dean called on her to serve as volunteer leader for the 1997 Capital Campaign and then again in 2002, as an inaugural member of the National Board of Advisors for the college. In recognition of her outstanding service, Simenson received the Pharmacy Alumni Society’s Distinguished Pharmacist Award and the Lawrence and Delores Weaver Medal.
