Russell J. McNaughton

Russell J. McNaughton graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1957 with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and immediately went to work for 3M as an Instrumentation Development Engineer. He was later promoted to Laboratory Manager and then Technical Director of the Electro Products Division and continued his progress with 3M until he retired in 1993 as Group Vice President, Electro Products Group. Throughout his long and distinguished career with 3M, he demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision, and service. Since his retirement from 3M, he has been active on several committees and boards, relating to the University of Minnesota. He was one of the leaders in obtaining funding for the Mechanical Engineering Building and has served for several years on the Minnesota High Technology Association's University of Minnesota Committee.
