Robert W. Rosene

Robert W. Rosene earned his bachelor’s (1945) and master’s degree (1948) in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota. He became co-founder of Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates, Inc. (BRA) in 1959. He served as vice president and principal of BRA from 1959 until his retirement in 1992. He is described as an outstanding leader whose expertise consisted of the design and project management of parks, swimming pools, and buildings for government and industry. He is a dedicated alum who has given generously of his time and resources to the Department of Civil Engineering. He served as the president of the Institute of Technology’s Alumni Society from 1987 to 1988 and was a member of its Board of Directors from 1995 to 2002. He has been active in numerous professional and technical organizations including the Consulting Engineers Council of Minnesota, the Minneapolis and St. Paul Society of American Military Engineers, and the American Consulting Engineers Council. He was named Engineer of the Year by the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers in 1993. He has also been active in his community serving as president of the Roseville Rotary club and as a Boy Scout Leader.
