Rholan E. Larson

Rholan E. Larson earned a bachelor of science in business administration in 1947 from the University of Minnesota. After graduation he worked in Iowa and then returned to his home state of Minnesota where he and two colleagues formed Larson, Allen, Weishair, & Co., one of the top 20 accounting and advisory firms in the country. He is known for his commitment to ethics, his professionalism, and his personal integrity. He is considered a leader in the accounting profession nationally. He has served as chairman of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, which is considered the top professional organization for practicing CPAs in the United States. He served as president of the Financial Accounting Foundation and has also served on the International Federation of Accountants, in which he was instrumental in the development of international practice standards in the fields of accounting and auditing. He is active in the Minnesota Society of CPAs and serves on numerous local boards and foundations. He has been recognized for his professional and public service with several honors and awards, including awards from the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, and Beta Alpha Psi at the University of Minnesota.
