Luis Gomez-Mejia

Luis Gomez-Mejia earned a bachelor's degree in economics (1971), a master's degree (1974) and a Ph.D. (1981) in industrial relations from the Carlson School of Management. While working on his doctoral degree he held academic positions in the Industrial Relations Center at the Carlson School, Hamline University and Mankato State University. He currently is Professor of Management at Arizona State University. He is described as a superstar on every measure: publications, teaching, and professional service. He was one of the founders of the Ibero-American Academy of Management and served as its first president. He has published more than 120 papers and authored, co-authored or edited 21 books. He has received the highest honors from the Academy of Management and its journals. His service contributions at Arizona State University are extensive. He has been a department chair and has served on major school and university committees.
