Hans F. Fauske

Hans F. Fauske is a 1959 graduate in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota. He is recognized for his technical expertise in science and engineering, and leadership in resolving complex safety issues worldwide in chemical and nuclear industries. He is described as one of the most innovative and productive leaders in the field of nuclear thermal hydraulics. He was the first director of the Fast Reactor Safety Technology Management Center and responsible for the planning and management of the U.S. program. He currently is the founder and president of Fauske & Associate, Inc. (FAI). He has published (with coauthors) over 200 scientific articles on reactor safety, multiphase flow, heat transfer, and explosion-related phenomena. He is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards such as the "Tommy" Thompson Award, the highest honor given by the American Nuclear Society.
