Edward W. Asplin graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1943 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is a successful businessman known for his excellent insight and leadership in a career spanning more than 40 years. Mr. Asplin was hired as a vice president for Bemis in 1967 and over the course of 20 years ascended up the organization's ladder. He served as chairman from 1978 until his retirement in 1987. He is a nationally recognized philanthropist dedicated to the community. Mr. Asplin is known for his commitment to helping others, particularly people with disabilities.
