Dale R. Olseth graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1952 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He is an accomplished leader in business and the community. He has been instrumental in the growth and success of three very different companies. Today he is the president and CEO of SurModics, a biotechnology company. His accomplishments include leading SurModics, Inc. to inclusion in Forbes Magazine's "200 Best Small Companies in America" list, where it was ranked 145th. SurModics increased revenues 35 percent in 2000 for its third straight year of revenue growth exceeding the company's 25 percent target. In addition, Mr. Olseth has served on a multitude of civic organizations and is described as the "Number One Cheerleader" for the University of Minnesota and the State of Minnesota.
