Bruce J. Bergman

Bruce J. Bergman received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering in 1964 from the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota. Over the course of more than four decades, his impressive career includes the development of computer storage and networking in the aerospace industry, reorganizing a number of research and computer industry companies, and serving as president and CEO of five successful companies. These companies were: Plastech Research (St. Paul, MN), Xylogics, Inc. (Burlington, MA), Proteon, Inc. (Westborough, MA), ARG Cyngnet, Inc. (San Jose, CA), and Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (San Jose, CA). Currently, he is Principal of Bergman & Associates, a high tech consulting and investing practice. He is consistently described as a visionary leader and a highly effective businessman who is also a committed mentor. He is active in supporting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the University of Minnesota as a Maroon and Gold Partner. He has served as chairman of the board of iVivity and Sistina Sofware and as a board member of Acopia Networks, Ciprico, Inc., Brocade Communications, ATG Cygnet, Proteon, Inc., Xylogics, Inc., Sky Computer, Inc., and Wolfdata, Inc. Presently he sits on the boards of Qcept Technologies and DataCore Software.
