Ronald Christensen

Ronald Christenson received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Institute of Technology (IT) at the University of Minnesota in 1972. He is the corporate vice president and chief technology officer at Cargill, Inc. He is considered to be an outstanding volunteer as a long-term member and chair of the IT Dean's Advisory Board, and he has served as a mentor to many students in the Institute of Technology. He has also volunteered to speak at numerous departmental and student events such as Engineers Without Borders. In addition, he serves on Cargill's University of Minnesota Steering Committee. In 2005, he received the University of Minnesota's Outstanding Achievement Award. He has been a lifetime member of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association since 1989 and is described as a strong ambassador for the University of Minnesota.
