Roger R. Haxby

Roger R. Haxby, described as an ambassador for the College of Science and Engineering (CSE), received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the CSE at the University of Minnesota. He is the founder of Tiger Development, an industrial real estate company in Alaska. Throughout his career, he has been an exemplary volunteer who has provided leadership for the CSE Dean's Advisory Board and has played an important role in fund raising activities. He was instrumental in helping to raise funds to renovate Lind Hall, which will serve as the home for CSE undergraduate students when completed. He actively recruits St. Cloud high school students for the CSE by talking to principals, superintendents, and students in an effort to persuade them to attend college. He A lifetime member of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA), he is an active supporter of alumni and college events, including attending events in Scottsdale, Arizona, and hosting an alumni event at his home. In addition, he has served for a number of years as a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) trained volunteer.
