Robert K. Schultz

Robert K. Schultz, a two-time graduate of the University of Minnesota with a bachelor of science degree in Pharmacy (1979) and a Ph.D. in pharmaceutics (1993) from the College of Pharmacy, is vice president and general manager of REVA Medical, Inc. He is credited with the development of a proprietary anti-restenotic compound to be used in conjunction with angioplasty balloons and coronary stents. His volunteer commitment to the University of Minnesota and to the College of Pharmacy is evident from his current role on the college's National Board of Advisors, his mentoring of students in the Pharmaceutics graduate program, and his collaboration with faculty in the Department of Pharmaceutics. He has also been active advising the Institute of Therapeutics Discovery and Development and the Committee on Pharmaceutical Development, a group responsible for identifying projects for drug developments and commercialization. In addition to his scientific advisory capacity, he and his wife have served as the co-chairs of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association's San Diego Chapter since 2009.
