Padraic S. McGuire

Padraic S. McGuire, senior program manager/laboratory manager of the Traffic Safety Systems Division of 3M, received a bachelor of mechanical engineering degree from the College of Science and Engineering (CSE). Described as a passionate and dedicated volunteer, his significant contributions include serving on the college's Task Force on Alumni Relations and on the Alumni Society Board, where he is credited with championing efforts to increase departmental engagement with industry and to promote science and engineering education outreach programs to K-12 audiences. He is a volunteer for the CSE Mentor Program, which helps students navigate the transition from academic to workplace life. Currently, he chairs the Mechanical Engineering Advisory Council and has served as an advisor for their Strategic Planning Task Force on Undergraduate Education. He often attends activities and events at the University of Minnesota and is a life member of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association.
