Nancy M. Lindahl was elected to the UMAA executive committee as a vice president in 1996. She served as a vice president during 1996 until 1998, as president-elect during 1998-99, and as national president during 1999-00. She was key to the association's success with two major goals: 1) to raise private funds for the McNamara Center and 2) to achieve 50,000 members. As president, she also played a major role with the association's legislative advocacy efforts. Currently she chairs the Nominating and Board Development Committee.
