Mark Omlie

Mark Omlie received a bachelor of science degree from the College of Liberal Arts (1972), a bachelor of science degree in dentistry (1972) and a doctor of dental surgery (1974) from the School of Dentistry, and a doctor of medicine (1976) from the Medical School at the University of Minnesota. In 1979, Omlie completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the School of Dentistry. After completing his residency, he joined Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Consultants. He has been an active member and strong supporter of the School of Dentistry community for 44 years. Omlie has served as an unpaid adjunct faculty member in the School of Dentistry since 2005. He served as an advisor to the Student Summer Research Campaign Committee (2009-2011) and has served on numerous mock boards for the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as conducting prospective resident interviews. He also served on the External Advisory Group for the Dean Search Committee (2003-2004). He and his wife are life members of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association.
