She is a highly sought after speaker on the oral hygiene care of nursing home residents. She speaks often at the School, addressing public health topics or speaking to current students about the profession. She is a founding member of the 1919 Society, an alumni-driven volunteer effort in support of dental hygiene, and has served as an active member and as chairperson. A devoted ambassador of the School of Dentistry, she has served on numerous committees, organized and participated in many alumni events and recruited fellow alumni to do the same.
