John Mendesh

John Mendesh, vice president for research and development, Big "G" Cereal Division at General Mills, received a bachelor of chemical engineering in 1974 from the College of Science and Engineering and a master of business administration in 1984 from the Carlson School of Management. His leadership and dedication is demonstrated through his volunteer service on the Dean's Advisory Board for the College of Science and Engineering and as a Board of Governors Member for the Evans Scholars Foundation. His generous support to the Evans Scholarship provides tuition scholarships to former caddies. He is credited with playing a key role in building the University of Minnesota Evans Scholar House where Evans Scholars live together. He has also been a speaker for the Carlson School of Management. He was an avid golfer as a student and is a strong supporter of Gopher Athletics. He attends many alumni events, conferences, and sporting events at the University of Minnesota and is a life member of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association.
