Jo Ann "Joey" Omlie

Jo Ann "Joey" Omlie received a bachelor of science degree in interior design (1971) from the College of Design, a graduate dental hygienist (1974), and a doctor of dental surgery (1980) from the School of Dentistry at the University of Minnesota. Omlie has been in private practice since 1985. She has been an active member and supporter of the School of Dentistry community for 42 years. Her volunteer service includes, serving on the School of Dentistry Alumni Society Board (SODAS) since 2013; University of Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA) National Board representative from the School of Dentistry (2007-2013); and, external advisory group member on the Dean Search Committee (2003-2004). While on the UMAA National Board, she served on the Award Committee and while on the SODAS, she served on the Alumni Engagement Committee, the Honors Task Force, and as a representative at the monthly Clinical Grand Rounds continuing education sessions. She and her husband are life members of the UMAA.
