Gwendolyn Freed, vice president for institutional advancement at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington, received a master’s degree in public affairs from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs (2007) and her doctorate in education policy and administration from the College of Education and Human Development (2012) at the University of Minnesota. She has served as a mentor and president of the Humphrey School’s alumni board, as the Humphrey School Alumni Society Board liaison to the search committee for the new dean of the Humphrey School, and she has helped steward and solicit major gifts to the Humphrey School, including a major gift to the Swain Fellowship. In addition, Freed has provided philanthropic leadership to the Humphrey Alumni Scholarship Program as a Leadership Circle contributor, as well as provided financial support to the College of Liberal Arts.
