Deborah Hopp

Deborah Hopp, graduate of the School of Journalism, 1976, was elected UMAA vice president in 1999 and 2000; president-elect in 2001; president in 2002; and is currently serving her final year on the board as immediate past president and chair of the UMAA Board Development Committee. Prior to her election in 1999, she was active in the University's School of Journalism Alumni Society. After joining the UMAA board, she was named chair of the UMAA Marketing and Communications Committee. She is described as a dedicated volunteer who has not only brought energy and passion for the University, but also extensive knowledge and experience in the publications and public relations industries.
