Daniel W. Mallin received a master of business administration from the Carlson School of Management in 1995 at the University of Minnesota. He is described as a generous contributor to the University of Minnesota and the Twin Cities community. He is recognized as a leader in the entrepreneurial business community and for his leadership service to the Carlson School and the University of Minnesota. He is the founding member of the Gary S. Holmes Center for Entrepreneurship Advisory Board, a mentor to students leaders, a speaker in MBA classes, and co-founder of the Minnesota Cup, a joint project of the University and Wells Fargo aimed at encouraging entrepreneurial endeavors. At the Holmes Center, he serves as an entrepreneur-in-residence. He also supports the University's Venture Center and the Carlson School Marketing Enterprise. Currently, he is the managing director of SDWA Ventures, where he provides strategy and advisory services to a range of entrepreneurial and growth companies.
