Norman Sieling received a bachelor of science degree (1958) in agricultural education from the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) at the University of Minnesota. He had a distinguished career as an agricultural education teacher for 39 years at Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial High School. During that time, Sieling collaborated with the University of Minnesota Agricultural Education Program to serve as a cooperating teacher for student teachers. He served as a mentor to new agricultural education teachers for more than ten years following his retirement. He has served as co-chair of the CFANS Golf Scramble for Scholarships, and has participated in almost all of the golf scrambles. He has also co-chaired other scholarship fundraisers for CFANS students, and currently participates as member of the University of Minnesota Southern Minnesota Alumni Chapter. Sieling is described as a positive, passionate, and professional volunteer.
