W. Harmon Ray

W. Harmon Ray received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1966. He has taught at the University of Waterloo in Canada, SUNY Buffalo, and then joined the University of Wisconsin in 1976 as a Professor of full rank. He was made Steenbock Professor of Engineering in 1986 and Vilas Professor in 1995. He is regarded as one of the top researchers and educators within the field of Process Control nationally and internationally. He has been a consultant to the polymer industry on a world-wide basis on reactor and control design. He is the author and editor of several books and has received many highly esteemed honors and awards.
