Morton M. Denn received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1964. He is considered as one of the world's top rheologists and chemical engineering educators. His career spans thirty years of teaching and research. He was the editor of AIChE Journal and is presently the editor of Journal of Rheology, both leading US journals in their field. He has been effective in the National Research Council, the National Academy of Engineering, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Society of Rheology. He is also the recipient of numerous awards and honors. He will become the third Albert Einstein Professor and Director of the Levich Institute at the end of this academic year when Andreas Acrivos retires.
