Dennis Martenson

Dennis Martenson received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering (1967) and a master of science degree (1968) in civil engineering from the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) at the University of Minnesota. He has been a long time volunteer for the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geo-Engineering (CEGE). For more than 10 years, he has been an active member of the CEGE Advisory Board, where he provided leadership on a department head search committee as well as playing a significant role in the creation of the CEGE strategic plan. Over the course of 20 years, Martenson has secured more than 370 professor mentors for the senior capstone projects as well as serving as a mentor himself. In addition to playing an effective role in fundraising for the college, he played a key role in the organization of the CSE Class of 1968 50th Reunion Committee. Martenson is a devoted advocate for the college.
